Il tutt'altro del giorno in cui si opera
Il titolo è tratto da una frase contenuta nel libro ‘La fine del mondo. Contributo all’analisi delle apocalissi culturali’ di Ernesto De Martino. Essa viene utilizzata dall’antropologo per definire ‘la notte’.
Ed è dunque opera che riguarda la notte, o meglio la zona notturna. Intesa nel senso magico della ‘zona di Tarkovsky, dove possiamo reperire solo tracce, scie.
È un’opera sulle conseguenze di qualcosa che è già accaduto; l’ombra sta già per calarsi. Brulichio, falsa immobilità, un lento, incessante lavorìo.
Un tipico gesto femminile, quotidiano e ancestrale allo stesso tempo, scandisce il flusso temporale.

Inside the book ‘The end of the world, contribution to the analysis of the cultural apocalypses’ by Ernesto De Martino (one of the most important italian anthropologist), there’s an astonishing definition of the night: il tutt’altro del giorno in cui si opera.
We don’t know if the english translation -The Antipodes of diurnal industry- renders all the different shades of the italian meaning, but our work is definitely about a specific kind of nocturnal zone (we love Tarkovsky's art...).
That zone where we can only find traces, consequencies of something that has already happened; swarmings, false immobility, a slow, endless unraveling.
And a typical women’s gesture, daily and ancestral at the same time, unties the temporal flux.
